Our first official adventure with my cousin started with us inspecting the new Cabela’s store in nearby Abbotsford.
I had never heard of Cabela’s until one of the many mass shootings in the States was linked to Cabela’s as suppliers of the AR15 guns involved.
That being said, I wanted to check it our after a new found interest in hunting.
Essentially it’s the same as Bass Pro Shop with perhaps a bigger focus on hunting as opposed to fishing.
Still pretty cool to see.

After a solid 2 hour sleep in the van at a rest stop, we were amped to get to our next major destination. My cousins house in Chilliwack, BC.
The drive was fun, shooting down 19km grades so steep that they had runaway lanes for trucks that might lose their braking. Very reassuring.
After stopping in a town called Hope (ironically we were hoping we wouldn’t die as I nodded off on those same grades), we eventually made it to the door of my cousin Wendy, her hubby Matthew and their awesome kids Rachel, Brooke, and Michael.
