This post will have 2 days worth of excitement. Mostly because these were down days.
The first would be more of a semi-down day. My brother and fam were coming up to join us for a BBQ at my parents house. Sadly, not many photos,m I dropped the ball here and missed some great family photo opps.
Anyway, we started by doing a little shopping in downtown Alberton.
My brother and fam arrived, so we took off for our last big beach day, this time only 10 minutes away at Jacques Cartier Provincial Park.
A very quiet and beautiful beach, but it was was extremely rocky and full of jellies. So we didn’t...

Today we would be experiencing more of what the island has to offer.
As a completionist, I needed to see the other edge of the island, and hitting the north point on the north cape was the way to do it. We made it there to find the cliffs eroded right down into the water, and we were truly touching the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
A beautiful location, and so quiet. The wind was refreshing and less harsh than the East Point. We were surrounded by wind turbines and there was a massive museum about Wind Energy and the history of the North Point… which was also massively overpriced....

Today we had to drive down to the southern portion of the island to pick up my sister-in-law (referred to as my “sister” from here, as she pretty much is more of a friend than an in-law) and my niece, so that we could get to the eastern point of the island. Our goal was to truly experience the full island on this trip, and my sister was our tour guide for this journey.
As it was a bit of a drive, sis decided to have us stop in the cute little villa of St. Peter’s Landing on the tip of St. Peter’s Bay, with it’s cute little shops, but most importantly, very clean bathrooms!...

Our first day in PEI… was spent in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Prior to that, I went for a brisk morning walk.
My parents needed to do some shopping, so we went to Costco and Bass Pro Shops, which all was quite an adventure with traffic and construction. By the time we came back, it was supper time, so we were looking for some Maritime fare, and came across a decent diner in O’Leary, a tidy little town only 20 minutes away from Northport. One wonderfully friendly lady was running the whole restaurant (including the takeout side, and maybe even the kitchen) simply named G&E. Thinking about...

Today is Prince Edward Island day! With just a short 4 hour drive away to my parents, the shortest part of the trip awaited.
After a typical buffet breakfast at our hotel (my wife was very disappointed with the lack of danishes), we packed up and walked over to a store that caught our eye the previous evening… Scoop & Save.
The store was a mish mash of toys and games, imported foods and candies, kitchen utensils and kitschy collectibles, with only a small smattering of bulk items.
We skulked off with some Jelly Belly Beanboozled candy (if you haven’t played this game, you have no...
